If you don’t leave the shore, you’ll never get to the other side

I am Gene, also known as Geno.  I am 81 years old, blessedly fit and lead an active life here in Orlando.  Many of you know me from our daily Luckys Lake swim, church, or through my engineering work. On January 22, 2013, after a chance finding, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.    My family and I set up this blog so that you can stay connected, learn about this new treatment, and track my progress.

I am fortunate to be participating in a clinical research trial to improve survivability from pancreatic cancer.  I elected to participate in this research not only for the benefit of my own cancer treatment, but to advance medical science and specifically, early cancer detection and treatment.

Because of the extensive travel costs associated with going to Boston for treatments, along with any uncovered medical expenses, I asked for donations. Thanks to your generosity my donations goals have been met.
100% of donations go towards expenses for my medical treatment and recovery.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Gene
